I used the bright orange and reddish colors on the the map to portray the ruined barren earth in my post-apocalyptic world. There is no city on my map, only the ruins of one. In my story, nearly everything is destroyed. While I couldn’t control everything, I tried my best to work with what I had, and it turned out pretty well.
