This was created with the thought of subway maps in mind. With the bright colors and spontaneous lines, this map is a subway interpretation of a neighborhood. I had a hard time figuring out what I wanted to create in this neighborhood of mine until one of the teachers gave me the idea to start with a park. It was a struggle to make it in bird’s eye view but I tried. I then got the idea to add a market close to the park. It came to mind while thinking of a short love story with a guy getting ingredients for his grandma with lung cancer and a girl working at the market to support her family.
