I’ve done weaving with a horizontal board before, but never with a circular ring- which is like, practically a boss. There’s this frustrating charm to circular weaving, between getting the beige yarn around the metal ring and making it stay and having to be okay with it being crooked because you’ve already done it like, five times.
I started with black yarn in the center and realized that it looked like a pupil, so I added a green iris. One could say it’s the green eye of envy to represent how envious I was of those who grasped the weaving easily and nailed it really well. Even though it was really frustrating, I’m proud that I finished and created something I actually somewhat like- I kinda think it looks cool off-centered like that.
