This process of creating artwork with yarn was really intriguing to me. Just like crocheting, both methods manipulated yarn in specific patterns to make a final end product. I find it interesting how a single strand of yarn when woven with other strands can come together to make something beautiful.
My piece of weaving, I’ve decided to choose yarn based on the color. I made sure to select specific colors that complement each other. As a finishing touch, I used a thicker, cotton-type of yarn to create a contrast in the thickness and texture. The difference in the materials brings an interesting look to the weaving.
